The gumball machine does not dispense individual gumballs. The gumballs come out in groups. I opened it to find out what the problem was.....a screw was not able to stay in the plastic background hole...which caused another part to fall upon operation. This was a poorly designed product that was shipped to me and defective. Initial shipping costs plus shipping costs doubled my cost for the product I don't have. Think about it....why would the consumer pay for those high shipping costs AGAIN to mail back that defective product? Most people wouldn't, causing only the consumer to loose. I am out of about $65 total (with shipping cost included).

My husband and I bought this as a Christmas gift for my father-in-law. For the price, I was expecting a higher quality gumball machine. The bottom of the gumball machine is lightweight and a bit cheap looking. It works just fine, but I was a little bit disappointed overall.

This product was used for less than 2 months before it stopped working. Don't waste your money. The pennies got stuck and finally there was no use in putting pennies in because the device simply started spitting out gumballs without putting money in the machine.

I bought this as a replacement for a machine that had worn out after 7 years of faithful service! In box, product parts, color, etc., it was exactly the same. What has happened to this product in 7 years? The inside parts are completely plastic, the front panel was ill fitting, the turn handle that dispenses candy did not stop - just turned continuously, the coin mechanism inside that guides the coins was not properly assembled and coins got stuck. Very disappointing. It was a good thing that the glass bowl container was shipped broken, because Amazon kindly refunded my money (I hadn't even checked the working parts at that time). My plan was to simply exchange the bowl from my old machine to the new one, but nothing worked! So before researching another product to buy (because obviously I wasn't ordering another of these) I scavenged the parts I needed from the new and replaced them on 'old faithful' and now life is good! But if you need a new candy machine - DON'T buy this brand!

If you ve ever begged for a gumball from your parents.....this will take you back there too. Very durable and worth the price.....also has a slot opening to put other candies in it(M & M's, Mike and Ike etc). Worth every cent
