3undecided if it was a good buyOct 18, 2010

well mine arrived with some broken pieces. we decided it wasnt worth a hassle to complain. Also although its great that you need money to operate it there are 2 places for the money to drop down into. Only one of the spots isnt actually where the money goes and it jams the machine. But its not clearly marked and the kids get confused and i get to unjam the stinkin thing. so now mom does the money. also says you can put whatever candy in it which is wrong. you have to have perfectly round candy to rolldown. and candy that doesnt break into pieces easily. other than that we like it.

2So disappointed!!Jan 27, 2012
By Kimberly Morris "shopping til I'm dropping"
My daughter LOVES gum, and specifically from gumball machines. At a store, she will gladly bypass a $30 toy for the chance at a pack of gum or gumball machine, so I thought this would be a cute idea to keep at home as a bank and reward system.

First the positives.
-The gumball resevoir is huge
-The gumballs are easy to find (for refills)
-It has the winding slide dispenser that make store gumball machines so much fun!
-It looks like a minature version of the giant ones found in malls and chain stores.

Now the negatives
-The turn knob sometimes takes the money without dispensing gumballs.
-The turn knob sometimes causes the coin to get stuck in the mechanism without dropping down.
-After about 10 gumballs, I had to dismantle the whole unit to get out a stuck coin. In doing so, I broke the turning mechanism (which had flimsy little parts), and have now rendered the machine able to dispense gumballs without a coin being introduced (which also could be a positive thing....EXCEPT..
-Now the machine is hit or miss whether it will dispense a gumball at all.
-More often than not, I unscrew the top and shake some into my hand.
-So at this point I spent nearly $50 for a gumball shaker that I can't throw away out of principal.
-If mine hadn't broken, there is NO WAY that the coin bank would have housed enough room for one coin per one gumball.

In summation, if you are going to buy this machine, I recommend looking for it to drop in price (SIGNIFICANTLY), or spend a few dollars more and get one of the more heavy duty METAL gumball machines. If you're In for $45 for a gumball machine, you should be in for the $60 you could pay to get a really good one.

1Garbage!Jan 14, 2009

Jammed within 1 hour of use. Must take it apart and put it back together in order to use it again. After fixing it works for a few times and then jams again.
