Well builtNov 04, 2010
By SnappyOrangutan My wife loved gumball machines as a kid, so I bought this for her as a surprise gift.
This has a metal body and a glass bowl. With its shiny read paint and antique-style front, it definitely looks great on the desk. I have the coin option enabled, which makes it even more fun. I feel the 9" height is perfect for it to look great on the desktop.
I followed the instructions and did not over-tighten, so the glass didn't break.

Great Little GiftDec 12, 2011
By NavyNuke88 I bought this gumball machine as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend's college dorm room. It is the perfect size for the idea and the best part about it is that it looks very nice. Strongly built with nicely painted metal with a durable antique designed metal face plate. Nothing about this gumball machine seems inferior when it comes to manufacturing quality.

Great BuyJul 23, 2011

I've owned several of these over the years, and I love them. I think the price is pretty good for what you get. It really can't be said enough: Don't over tighten the lid! I only hand tighten mine, using my thumb to turn the screw. This machine comes with gum balls, but it's not enough to completely fill the globe. So you will need to buy more.

Don't buy it for kidsMar 03, 2011
By W This is not a good product. It either arrived broken or was broken within a few minutes of use by my kids. It was not dropped. It does say not to overtighten the lid, but I find it hard to believe that my eight year old daughter could have overtightened it, and when I felt the lid, it didn't even feel all the way screwed on. So, now it has a large crack in the glass and my eight year old is so upset she asked me to take it out of her room. I should send it back, but I already recycled all the packaging and receipt. Don't buy this for kids!
